Meet the ThermoSpark team
Kris is the Owner and Electrical Contractor Licensee of Thermospark Electrical. Kris started the business, on his own, in 2010. He has been an electrician for 15 years.
Kris’s number one priority is to make his customers happy, by providing quality workmanship and great value for your hard-earned money.
Kris enjoys a variety of electrical work. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on some large-scale jobs such as work at the Ipswich University during its construction and he has wired up Large boat sheds with 1000-2000m2 floor space. He completed extension work at Griffith University; and undertook electrical breakdown work and maintenance for Coles, Myer, Target and Suncorp.
Kris and his Team undertake all types of domestic electrical work including wiring new homes and extensions/renovations, air conditioning installation including fully ducted systems, smoke alarm safety inspections and pre-purchase Electrical Safety Inspections and Reports to name but a few. Kris and his team also provide emergency breakdown work and installation for Industrial customers as well.
Being the boss of a thriving business, Kris doesn’t get a lot of spare time but when he does, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids as well as working on his cars. Kris has a love of cars and particularly likes 4-wheel driving.
Kris likes to listen to Triple M to pass the time on trips to and from jobs and when it comes to Pineapple on Pizza, Kris says YES!
Matt started his apprenticeship working in the Somerset region until his boss (who is a relative of Kris') hung up his tools and turned his hand to farming. Keeping Matt in the family, Kris happily snapped him up! Matt has been with him for almost four years now, becoming a fully qualified Electrician in 2014.
Matt loves to have a chat and get to know his customers, ensuring they receive relaxed and friendly service.
Matt is our go to guy for the country jobs. He thoroughly enjoys getting out into the rural areas such as the Lockyer Valley and Somerset region for his work, keeping him close to home. Matt considers himself a good-all-rounder in that he's happy to undertake any electrical task, however he particularly enjoys wiring up sheds, installing underground power and installing air conditioners.
Matt is a friend to nature! In his spare time, he enjoys fish keeping and growing aquatic plants. He has plans to start breeding finches in the near future and loves taking his Dalmatians for walks! Camping with his wife and family and spending his Saturdays on the cricket pitch are a few of his favourite things.
You'll catch Matt singing away to almost any type of music, but his favourite style is American modern country music. Matt doesn't tend to open a book unless he's looking for Wally but he does love a good action or sci-fi film, in particular Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings.
When it comes to Pineapple on pizza, he reckons it's a winner!!
Dean started with Thermospark as an Apprentice in 2011 and as Kris’s very first employee. Dean has long since completed his training and has continued his employment with Thermospark as a fully qualified Electrician and, valued member of the team. Prior to joining Kris, Dean spent around seven years in the Electrical Wholesale Industry and can to this day, still tell you the part number for almost any electrical part!
Dean has a special interest in fault finding so is a great guy for the job when you’re just not sure what the problem is. He takes great pride in his workmanship and pays particular attention to detail.
Dean, his wife and two sons enjoy their life in the country area of the Ipswich Shire. In his spare time, Dean likes to take his oldest son out to explore the 4wd tracks or “bumpy roads” as the little fella calls them or go camping at 1770. Once the kids are tucked up in bed for the night, Dean likes to settle in for a night of watching horror movies.
During Dean’s time as an Electrician, he has had a few “odd” experiences, with one involving him relocating a carpet python from a customer’s laundry so they could do their washing!! It seems snakes, mice and spiders are of no concern to Dean.
When it comes to Pineapple on Pizza, Dean says DEFINITELY!
Craig has been in the building and constructions industry since 1998. Along with his electrical training, Craig is also a Plasterer which is a trade that compliments the electrical world perfectly!
Craig began working for Thermospark in August 2013.
He enjoys installing air conditioners and particularly enjoys the challenges of a complex installation. Craig loves to get on the Kanga and plough up some dirt for underground electrical jobs but happily turns his hand to any task assigned to him.
When Craig gets a break from smoothing plaster and running wires, he loves to go camping with his wife and two boys, and getting out onto some challenging 4-wheel drive tracks. He also loves hitting the water on a jetski or to go water-skiing.
When it comes to pineapple on pizza, Craig says hell yes!
